CSE 694 Blogs in Education

So, it's over a month before classes begin, but I just enrolled in this course and decided to blog to try out the software.

It's okay. Go ahead and say it. You know you're thinking it.

There's really no point in fighting it anymore. I've embraced my inner nerd.

So far, so good with the blog setup. I'll be playing with it over break to see what I
can do. If anyone has some great ideas about how to use a blog in a first-year
college composition course, I'd love to hear them. So far, my idea is for students
to keep a blog about their research projects, but I am thinking that it might be
too inefficient for me to hop from blog to blog to read  their work. Would it
work to become a "follower" of each blog or am I asking for hundreds of
emails detailing each post? Any ideas?
